Subcontractor to Texas Sterling Construction

Installation of three 9'6" tunnel liner plate tunnels for drainage under UPRR increasing the capacity of flow under the UPRR of the local creek to alleviate chronic flooding of Rosedale Street (Bus. US 287) and surrounding neighborhoods. Originally designed as a double barrel 10'x10' Reinforced concrete box culvert that failed to meet the requirements of the UPRR, AR Daniel Construction worked with TxDOT, Texas Sterling Construction, and the City of Fort Worth to find a solution acceptable to the UPRR. Using their wide experience in hand excavation techniques to tunnel through the embankment fill and installation of the tunnel liner plate allowed AR Daniel Construction to complete the process and meet UPRR's tight requirement of less than 1/2" of settlement of the railroad embankment.
