North Texas Municipal Water District Plano-Richardson West Side Replacement Line

Subcontractor to Bar Constructors, Inc.

An aging and deteriorating existing 48" diameter waterline required replacement before peak summer demand season. AR Daniel Construction built 15 tunnels totaling over 3400 lineal feet of 72" tunnel liner plate tunnels for the new 48" steel waterline. The longest tunnel on the project was 830 lineal feet under the North Texas Tollway Authority�s George Bush Tollway. Both hand and mechanized excavation methods were used on the project.
